TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®️

Moving Made Easy

Four Ways To Relax During Your Move

It’s not too difficult to create the good kind of move, though. Start by hiring Two Men and a Truck. Our competent, friendly staff can turn almost any move into a positive experience, but there are a few things that you can do to help, too. When it comes to these four things, nobody but you can clear the way for a low-stress move.

1. Be Prepared For Packing

Ideally, your preparation for the move shouldn’t start with packing. Yes, we can pack up everything in your house, including everything that’s loose, disorganised and stuffed into storage areas, box it up and transport it to your new place. We’re happy to do it. However, you’ll be much happier if you pre-pack. That means clearing out rubbish and selling or donating everything that you no longer use, need or value. Ideally, you should set aside a substantial amount of time to pre-pack. If you take it seriously, you’ll be happy you did. Moving time is when you really come to understand that possessions can be burdens. Lighten your load.

2. Opt For Full Service Packing, Moving and Unpacking

You’ve probably moved house on your own in the past and you’ve probably helped friends do it, too. Moving or packing on your own is like having a baby. You tend to forget how much it hurts until it happens again. Banish the pain by letting professionals handle everything. If you’re not a removalist yourself, you will never be as fast and as skilled at organising, boxing, sealing, labelling, transporting and properly loading and unloading your things as we will be. Our people are trained and experienced, and our teams work like well oiled machines. If you let us handle everything, you’ll be glad you did.

3. Get To Know Your New Neighbourhood Before Moving

When you arrive at your new house, you’ll want to hit the ground running. Make a point of mapping out your new neighbourhood before moving. If possible, take a drive around it and make sure you know where to find the nearest supermarket, hardware store or DIY warehouse, pharmacy and shopping area. Locate a few decent places to eat and a place where you can get online, if that’s important to you. If you can’t do it in person, explore the area through Google Streetview.

4. Arrange For Cleanup and Rubbish Removal

The last thing you want to be thinking about once you’re in your new house is the condition that you left your old one in. Once your furniture and possessions have made the move, you’ll want to be unpacking and decorating, not cleaning up your former residence. Let us handle the final cleanup and rubbish removal. You’ll be doing the right thing for your own peace of mind and for the new occupants.
